Mobile phone repair course

     The course also provides a platform for women to set up service centres with a nominal investment or impart the skill to school drop outs and unemployed youth.

     Around 20 girls have been getting trained in mobile phone repair service free of cost. The objective is to equip women with the technical know-how in the happening industry and provide placements either in the mobile showrooms or repair service centres. The programme was organised by Development of Humane Action (DHAN) Foundation in association with Nagavali Institute of Rural Entrepreneurship Development (NIRED) for a period of 45 days. As a part of the course, mobile phone repair test was held near Rama Talkies here on Thursday. With the number of self-help groups increasing, women are taking active part in every field, said project director of Urban Community Development of GVMC M.N.A. Patrudu who was present at the training test. “In the fast growing segment like mobile phone industries, the need for skilled labour is on the rise. The orientation builds confidence level among girls and helps in uplifting the below poverty line,” he said.

     Most of the students find the programme interesting and quite helpful to have an edge in the competitive world.
