InfoWorld seeks nominees for top tech leaders.

Awards program honors IT and business pros who demonstrated innovative leadership in the creation, deployment, or management of technology to help their business.

These days, successful technology leadership means creatively and innovatively using technology to make a real business impact, whether in the private, government, education, or nonprofit sector. To honor the leaders behind such innovation, InfoWorld.com, the premier website for IT and business professionals seeking to stay abreast of leading technology trends and issues, seeks entries for its annual Technology Leadership Awards.

The 2013 awards are open to IT pros and business managers anywhere in the world who can demonstrate such innovative leadership with real-world results over the last two years. Nominees can be formal IT managers such as CIOs, CTOs, and IT directors, or they can be IT pros or business managers who demonstrated informal technology leadership through their direct activities as a practitioner, such as by taking a lead role in development or project management -- regardless of title.

Nominees can apply for the awards at no cost at www.infoworld.com/tla. Nominees may enter for leadership in one of four categories:

* Creation or substantial enhancement of a technology itself
* Deployment of technology in service of business needs
* Management of technology in service of business needs
* Participation in the management of the business itself (that is, outside of the IT function)

The awards provide the four categories in recognition of the multiple ways IT and business professionals can bring strong benefit to their businesses through personal leadership involving technology.

Nominations are due on or before April 29, 2013. For additional information, see the InfoWorld Technology Leadership Awards FAQ page.
